On the 9th of December 2020, Sean C of St Brigid’s NS was woken up to a shock letter from President Higgins which his elf on the shelf was hiding. Sean wrote a letter to the President after the sad passing of his dog Sioda.
Sean’s inspiration was from his reading group teacher Ms. Lanigan while he was reading a book called All The way from China. He wasn’t expecting a reply because it had been 3 weeks since he sent the letter. The letter was hand written by Sean but his sister assisted him.
The school recorded a lovely video of Sean thanking and wishing President Higgins a Merry Christmas.
We know that this letter will be cherished by Sean all the way into the future.
