On behalf of everyone in our school community; pupils, teachers, staff, parents, members of the Board of Management and the Parents Association, I welcome you to our new updated and revamped website. I hope you find it useful and informative.

As a past pupil of St Brigid’s NS myself, I am incredibly proud and privileged to serve as principal of St. Brigid’s National School. In St Brigid’s NS we aim to create an environment for the children where they will feel happy and secure. We seek to ensure that all pupils are treated as individuals and strive to create an environment in which their self-esteem is fostered. St Brigid’s has a proud academic record; we value educational excellence and work every day to provide a broad-based education for all our pupils. We are proud of our school grounds, the vegetable gardens, orchard, pond and more which provide a rich experience for our pupils and promote our Green School Ethos.

As a Catholic school we nurture the Catholic ethos, while welcoming children from other cultures and religions. We encourage sound moral values, attitudes and habits. We seek to prepare our pupils for adulthood and for further education and lifelong learning.

We are immensely proud of all our past-pupils whom we have encountered over the years, and as a school we too celebrate their achievements and successes. We are proud of the instruction and guidance which they received from their highly motivated and dedicated teachers and classroom assistants, who consistently demonstrate their professionalism, patience, tolerance, creativity and respect in encouraging their young pupils.

The parents in St Brigid’s National School have been an invaluable resource over the years and we very much appreciate the immense contribution of the members of successive Boards of Management and Parents’ Associations’. The support, generosity and sheer hard work of these individuals have helped us enjoy the particularly good facilities we have here in the school. Their legacy is evident in the many changes and improvements around the school.

Thank you to all parents who are associated with the school and who down through the years have entrusted their wonderful children to our care. We thank you for your support, encouragement and patience, but above all for the belief and trust you place in us as a staff to deliver a quality education for your children.

Should you have any queries about our school, please do not hesitate to contact us. This is your website too! Please visit as frequently as possible, so that you can keep up to date with all the activities in St Brigid’s National School. We look forward to an ongoing fruitful collaboration and your continued support in the future.

Le meas,

Sarah Ryan
