Science week took place in St Brigid’s NS from the 9th-13th November. Our pupil’s engaged in a range of activities across the curriculum.
Junior infants looked at barn owls, planted bulbs and discovered what happened flowers when food colouring is added to water. Senior infants did a cool experiment with Skittles. Check at the video below-could you try this at home? 1st Class learned all about living things. They sorted them into sets according to whether they were omnivores, herbivores or carnivores. 3rd Class enjoyed a virtual show with Ginny Smith called “That’s nonsense” while 5th and 6th class had the wonderful opportunity to learn all about everyday science and science in the home from UL webinars and live shows.
The boys and girls had a brilliant week of laughter, exploring and learning and are looking forward to next year already.
