St. Brigid’s School takes Environmental Education very seriously. We have a ‘no litter policy’ which is monitored by the Green School Committee.

We have been awarded Five ‘Green Flags’ for our commitment to the environment. Our aims are to ‘Reduce, Re-use, Recycle’, use energy efficiently, prevent water wastage, protect water habitats and foster biodiversity. Pupils are encouraged to walk to school, park & stride, carpool or use public transport.

Two representatives from the Green Schools Committee went to Cork on Friday 12th May to collect our 6th Green Flag for ‘Global Citizenship Litter & Waste’
